SLIF AGM Thu 4 May

The South Lakeland Interfaith Forum AGM will be held on Thursday 4th May at 7pm. All are welcome but please RSVP.

Items on the Agenda will include updates on the activities we have been involved in, future plans and election of officers.

Some of the group have been participating in a project with mental health charity Mind to produce a booklet exploring how faith can help mental issues.

The Westmorland Gazette are changing the name of the Christian Viewpoint column that appears each week to Faith Viewpoint. Starting in May, the fourth Thursday in each month will feature a contribution from other faiths. SLIF have been asked to coordinate these contributions. Website and social media – an update on progress made.

Cumbria police are investigating ways in which Faith communities can assist them to help victims of modern slavery. We will have an update on this.

We would like to be involved with providing assistance to any refugees that come to South Lakeland. If you have any information on this we would love to hear from you.

National Interfaith Week 2017 – we will be making plans for events this November.
