On Sunday 13 November Remembrance Sunday following the morning service (which is from 11.00 – 12.00) the church and Reading Room which is entered from Sandes Avenue, will be open for everyone to come along and meet the Librarian and church members to discuss any questions they may have about Christian Science. This ‘open door’ event will run from 12.30 until 15.30hrs.
This religion is based on the Bible and the textbook Science and Health with key to the Scriptures written by Mary Baker Eddy the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. The Christian Science movement was established more than 100 years ago and it commemorates the words and works of Christ Jesus. Through prayerful understanding of the Bible and using Mary Baker Eddy’s book, healings occur. Recent periodicals in the Reading Room tell of healings taking place through prayer. These can also be read online.
On Saturday 19 November from 10.00 – 16.00hrs the church and Reading Room will be open again and there will be some short talks on Christian Science available online. Everyone is very welcome to come along.
There will be refreshments available on both open days.
